My F'd Up Thoughts
I was just reading another blog (http://www.randomandodd.blogspot.com/) whom I got from one of my favorites http://thehouseofcards.typepad.com/ HOLLA!Anyway, she was reflecting on the last year and 40 things about the last year which I thought was a great idea.
So by god..here are MY 40 things about me from this year.
1. My dad had open heart surgery (at 45 years old)
2. Then he got a horrible infection where they took the vein from his leg and had to be back in the hospital for another week.
3. Then he was diagnosed with diabetes
4. My step son Spencer who was about 4'6 when I met him 5 years ago went to high school and is now 6'2 (WTF)
5. My step daughter Ashtin continues to have behavior issues which get worse all the time
6. Their mother went to jail for 11 months this year
7. She got out 8 weeks ago and they have not heard from her
8. I went from stay at home mom back to work full time
9. My daughter has been sick constantly since I made that choice
10. She has had 5 ear infections this year
11. I feel very guilty for this
12. I like my job more this year then I did this time last year
13. My husband got a new truck
14. This is the first NEW car he has had in about 10 years because he is so cheap
15. We got a pool (hell yeah)
16. My husband did go out and spend 4000 on a new lawnmower (which we needed sooo bad because we live on an acre and a half)
17. I got all new appliances this year. Dishwasher, stove, refrig, mircrowave, washer & dryer
18. This is the first time in my 28 years that I have had all new appliances at once (WOW)
19. My dad is manic depressive and his depression has been extra bad this year
20. For the first time in my life I feel I may need to go to therapy
21. Having a baby has been hard on my marriage
22. I love my husband with all my heart though
23. My daughter gained about 13 pounds this year, she is now about 22 pounds at 16 months old
24. She only weighed 3 pounds when she was born
25. I got to watch her learn how to sit up this year
26. Crawl
27. Walk (AWESOME)
28. I got to hear her say MAMA
29. And PAW PAW (my dad)
30. I am #1 in sales in my department and have been for the last 6 months. This is a first and bygod I am proud of it!
31. I went to Chicago this year for the first time
32. I didn't like it that well
33. I celebrated my 3rd anniversary with my HONEY BUNNY (this was a big accomplishment for me as stupid as it sounds, my first marriage didn't make it that long & i get tired of things quickly)
34. I gained too much weight this year
35. I only had 2 hair cuts all year (NO TIME)
36. I started really telling people exactly what I think (how motherhood enlightens you!)
37. Most people think I am a bitch but in a good way
38. I gave to charity and it felt good and I will always do it from now on
39. I started having anxiety attacks after my dads surgery
40. I started BLOGGING and it has been a BLAST
Ok. So I know you are bored to tears but I had to do that just to reflect on my year. It has not been the greatest year as you can see. Hopefully next year will be a little better.
