UGH! I hated getting up when I was a kid. MY father STILL calls me in the morning EVERY morning to make sure I'm up, my alarm went off, I didn't lose power, and a house didn't fall on me so I am not gonna be late for work. My father luckily enough is a sweetheart, but sometimes overbaring. Anyhow, I feel ya pain girlfriend. Although I only deal with my 8 year old, it is EVERY morning same thing. She sleeps like me and could sleep all day if I let her, and stay up all night too! It seems even when she goes to bed at 8pm she cannot get up at 7. Mornings are painful, bribary rarely works anymore! Gotta set some ground rules with that teen...has to be more responsible at his age, then again, he is a boy=future man, so!....(LOL)

My eight year old son is a little beast about waking up in the morning too. And since he sleeps on the top bunk, I have a hard time reaching up there to swat at him. God only knows what will happen when HE turns 14. By the way, he's in bed by 9 every night so its not for lack of sleep. The turd.

You know..all kids are turds. They really are. I am so sick of arguing with him b/c I am scared I will end up pulling a Dickson County on him and taking him out back and whipping his ass. His Daddy told him he better get his shit together or he would be sitting in his room for a few weeks. I swear we let the child do whatever he wants..when he wants. He goes here and there and we are always carting him around and he just thinks he rules the fucking roost. I don't get it. I would have gotten my teeth knocked out if I talked to my Daddy that way. Hell, my Daddy would still knock my teeth out to this day if I talked smack and did the shit that he does. My husband feels so guilty about their mother not being a part of their life that he lets them get away with certain things that he normally wouldn't. It is a hard situation!

well. I sort of know where you are coming from. I have a step-daughter. Shes only 5 but there are some things that she gets away with that my son doesnt get away with and I'm a bitchy type of mom that feels like shes going to explode when forced to "not bitch". shes the little princess though and her dad only sees her on the weekends so he is not inclined to discipline or "ruin" his time with her. By the end of Saturday, my head hurts from clenching my teeth. Shes not a bad kid, but she IS an incessant question asker/attention demander. That wears on my nerves BIG TIME. She is also very babyish and maybe its not fair of me but I don't recall Cris ever being babyish so that gets annoying.

That sucks for you and it is unfair. I understand what you mean though, it would get on my nerves too. At least you only have to put up with her every once and a while. I wish that their mother could have kept her shit together and kept them. I really want another child but will never get to have one because we have 3 already. I know it sounds selfish but like I said..I was an only child and it sucked and I wanted to have 1 more since there is such an age difference between his kids and McKenna. Oh well. I need to quit being a whiney ass.

I think if you want another one, you should have one! I was an only child for 9 years so when my sister was born I didnt like her too much but now I THANK GOD the little bitch is here. HA!
