Dooce Stalkin'
I received this email from my friend Joshua about 5 minutes ago.
(You may remember me cursing Joshua for leaving me at work and me cursing him and kicking his crotch area in this post. )
As most of you probably read DOOCE. You would already know she is at the SWSX Conference in Texas right now. Well my friend Joshua is also there and saw her speak and blah blah blah.
Anyways, here is the email I just got from Joshua.
"i'm in austin for the SXSW festival. Dooce was one of the keynote speakers yesterday. i got to talk to her after the session; told her i had a friend who went from reading her blog, to having her own, to flying to California to stay with strangers she had meet while blogging.i ran into her again today in a cafe and grabbed a photo. i think she noticed... "
The picture is kinda blurry but you can see her giving him this look like "why the fuck are you taking a picture of me, you weirdo"...
He also said that there were mountains of fpeople waiting in line to talk to her and that she was very nice and patient with everyone. She is a bigger woman than I..yes she is.
Just wanted to share with you guys.

Yes, Joshua said he has seen her several times and that there are always all these people lined up around her asking her for autographs and pictures.
But most importantly..he said Austin is cool as shit..Kami why didn't you tell us?-

Heather has a lot more patience than I do. I would get fidgety after awhile, if people kept coming up to me in a situation that wasn't planned, like eating dinner vs. being at a book signing.
Um, I mean...not that I plan on worrying about that any time soon...-

SXSW is South By Southwest, a bigass music fest.
AND, she is in a coffee shop called Halcyon, where I used to buy my special smokes.

I went and checked out Dooce's blog. It was okay. Shangie inspired me to start blogging! I have read all through yours Pissy and I really like it. We think alot alike and i've even found out some useful info via Mckenna since she's older than Madison. It's tough being a first-time Mom!

I always think I would be a total blushing dork upon meeting someone I admire, such as Heather (Dooce). But, I have worked up the guts to have perfectly reasonable conversations with other writers and musicians I idolize, so maybe I'd actually be able to speak without making a total ass of myself.
